It is caused when multiple properties (in stations with elevated traffic network) are marked as persistent and then are continuously saved to the SRAM memory and then to the flash memory, which highly increases CPU usage. Urgency Distech Controls recommends all EC-BOS-6AX running EC-NetAX 3.6.406.2 be updated with these new files to correct this issue. Update The new files are available for download on SmartSource. This update eliminates the need for the workaround described in the Data Recovery Service issue TIN issued 2014-03-05. Therefore, as of now, all new EC-BOS-6AX will be shipped without the battery.
 
 
Issue Description
This issue affects the EC-BOS-6AX performance and users will notice a general slowdown of the system. It is caused when multiple properties (in stations with elevated traffic network) are marked as persistent and then are continuously saved to the SRAM memory and then to the flash memory, which highly increases CPU usage.
How to Diagnose Installed System
Symptoms:
- High CPU usage
- General slowdown of the system
- Frequent station saves
Workaround
For units already in the field:
- If you experience these symptoms with an EC-BOS-6AX (CDIDI-BOS6AX1), please contact Distech Controls’ Technical Support who will assist you with a procedure to minimize the impact of this issue.
For new units:
- As of now, all new EC-BOS-6AX will be shipped with a battery included. After commissioning the new unit with the battery included, users should disable the Data Recovery Service following the procedure below:
Go to Config → Services → PlatformServices → DataRecoveryService → Service Enabled

Then select false → click Save → and finally click Yes (the platform will reboot)

Impacts on Installed System
